According to Scrapbook.com, “A scrapbook is a story and scrapbooking is storytelling at a precious, personal level. It is organizing moments of the past so they have meaning for future generations. It is a recognition that events make up lives, and it is a celebration of living. Embodied in every scrapbook page is a celebration of life, a moment or moments captured that are especially unique…”
“Scrapbook of an Ordinary Life” is the companion to my memoir “An Ordinary Life…well sort of.” The memoir covers the first 40 years of my life, while the scrapbook encapsulates over 50 years of writings in different forms. Just as the memoir does not include every detail of my life—who would want to read that?—the scrapbook is a selection of my writings.
